Clear terms, in plain English.
The summaries below explain, without the legalese, what each of our documents covers and how we look after your data. The formal, binding versions are the source of truth. If you need a signed copy for procurement or a security review, ask and we will send it over.
Data processors should owe outcome accountability, not just paperwork. The enemy is vendors who hide their obligations in the small print. We hold SOC 2 Type II certification, data is held in the EU (Ireland) on AWS, and every clause below reflects our commitment to transparency and real security, not compliance theatre.
Terms of service
The agreement that governs your use of the RoboShadow platform, the agent and the portal: what you can expect from us on availability and support, acceptable use, and how subscriptions, renewals and cancellations work.
The full Portal terms of use are on the terms page.
Privacy notice
What personal data we collect, why we collect it, the lawful basis we rely on, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. RoboShadow is built to be data-minimal: we hold what the product needs to work and no more.
The full notice is on the privacy page. Customer and scan data is held in the EU (Ireland) on AWS. See the data storage page.
Cookie policy
The cookies and similar technologies our website and portal use, split into strictly necessary and analytics, what each one does, and how to control them in your browser or through our consent controls.
Non-essential cookies only load once you have given consent.
Data processing agreement
For customers who need one, our DPA sets out the roles of controller and processor, the security measures we apply, our use of sub-processors, and the terms for international transfers. It is designed to slot straight into your supplier due diligence. We hold SOC 2 Type II certification to demonstrate the controls we apply to your data.
The full template is on the DPA page. A countersigned copy is available on request.
The platform figures on this site
A few headline numbers appear across the site. Here is how each one is counted, so you can take them at face value:
- 124,000+ organisations — the cumulative number of distinct organisations that have registered on the RoboShadow platform since 2017, counted once per organisation.
- 1B+ security checks — the rounded number of security checks completed across the platform.
- 147.6M+ findings — the running total of security findings surfaced across all scans and connected devices over the life of the platform. It is a lifetime cumulative figure, not a point-in-time count.
- 7.9M+ automated fixes — the running total of remediation actions carried out automatically by the platform, counted once per completed action.
Figures are drawn from platform telemetry, refreshed periodically, and stated as rounded lower bounds (hence the plus sign). They are marketing aggregates rather than audited statistics.
