A global team with one mission.
Security researchers, platform engineers, product designers, customer success specialists. Everyone here has either fought fires in the field, spent years inside the problem, or managed the chaos of tool sprawl. That lived experience informs every product decision, every roadmap choice, every conversation with customers.
What we believe
- Security must not be a tax. Simplicity cuts cost, complexity multiplies it.
- Evidence at the speed of compliance. Framework alignment, audit trails, and breach readiness should not be weeks of spreadsheets and manual work.
- Humans should think, not shovel. Repetitive findings, routine hardening, and manual ticketing should be fully automated.
- Respect your data. We hold everything in the EU and we do not train on your findings. Ever.
How we work
- Customer-driven. Every roadmap item starts with a customer conversation. Your problem shapes what we build next.
- Practitioners decide the roadmap. Every team lead has lived inside the problem. No sales-led backlog, no feature theatre. We build what actually stops breaches.
- Built to scale. From one office to a thousand sites. From one analyst to a global SOC. RoboShadow grows with you.
- Transparent and honest. We tell you what RoboShadow can do and what it cannot. No hype, no lock-in, just straightforward answers.
Functions that matter.
Every team is led by practitioners. People who have lived inside the problem. That lived experience informs every decision.
Threat Research
Our researchers track vulnerabilities and emerging tactics. They translate that intelligence into detection rules and automated fixes. Not just alerts, but answers.
- CVE and threat intelligence feeds
- Detection rule tuning
- False positive minimisation
Engineering
Our engineers build the scanning, remediation, compliance, and orchestration engines in one system. They optimise for one lightweight agent, multi-tenant security, and massive scale.
- Platform and API design
- Lightweight agent architecture
- Multi-tenant infrastructure
Product
Our product team listens to customers, identifies patterns, and shapes the roadmap. No sales input, no feature theatre. We ship what stops breaches.
- Customer feedback loops
- Roadmap prioritisation
- Release planning and delivery
Security Operations
Our own house has to be on point. We run the same principles we sell: least privilege, EU-held data, yearly independent tests, and a find-and-fix loop we actually use on ourselves.
- Least privilege by default
- EU data residency and access control
- The same bar we ask of customers
Design
Our designers craft interfaces for people solving security problems under pressure. They make finding, fixing, and proving straightforward. Every pixel serves clarity, not aesthetics.
- User research and usability
- Visual and interaction design
- Accessibility and performance
Customer Success
Our customer success and support teams own your outcome, not a ticket queue. They handle onboarding, troubleshooting, and strategy. Every customer insight flows back into the product roadmap.
- Onboarding and training
- Technical support 24/7
- Outcome and expansion planning
Born out of the GCHQ programmes.
We got into the GCHQ and NCSC for Startups programmes on a promise: reduce the cost and complexity of cyber security. That was the ticket in. Not a slogan we added later.
In 2023 we were one of four startups selected for the NCSC Cyber Accelerator. Mentored by the NCSC and GCHQ in Cheltenham. That is where the product was pressure-tested against a national-security bar, not a marketing one.
That preparation is why we can take this to a world stage. The promise we made to get in is still the promise we keep.
Culture and values.
We are a distributed global team based across Europe, the US, and beyond. We hire for attitude and experience, not proximity. We meet once a year in person, work asynchronously, and maintain high context so everyone can move fast and decide well. Our values are customer-obsessed, intellectually honest, relentlessly pragmatic. They move from belief into habit: Every Friday, the whole company joins a single Slack thread where any engineer can challenge any product decision with evidence. No managers filter it. We call it "Ship or Sink". It keeps us honest and ensures the person who knows the technical debt always has a voice. That practitioner-first culture is not a perk. It is who gets listened to when it matters.
