VP of Engineering

About the role
RoboShadow is building one cyber security platform instead of a shelf of disconnected tools. As VP of Engineering you will own the technical direction of that platform end to end — the lightweight Windows agent, the serverless .NET backend on AWS, and the portal our customers use every day. This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role: you will still write and review code, but your biggest impact is on the people, the architecture and the pace of delivery.
What you will do
- Lead and grow a small, high-velocity engineering team — setting the technical bar and the delivery rhythm.
- Own architecture across our .NET / C# serverless backend on AWS Lambda, our TypeScript portal, and our Electron / Windows agent.
- Keep us shipping — build, ship, iterate, repeat — without letting quality, security or reliability slip.
- Partner with Product to turn a fast-moving roadmap into well-scoped, deliverable work.
- Champion engineering practice: code review, testing, observability and secure-by-default design.
- Be accountable for platform performance, cost and uptime as we scale across SMBs, MSPs and enterprise.
What we are looking for
- A senior engineer who has led teams and still loves building.
- Strong background in .NET / C# and cloud-native architecture on AWS.
- Comfortable across the stack — backend, a modern JS / TS frontend, and desktop or agent software.
- A track record of scaling a SaaS product and the team behind it.
- Pragmatic about trade-offs and biased towards shipping and iterating.
Nice to have
- Cyber security domain experience.
- PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis and serverless (SAM / Lambda).
- Electron / Windows agent development.
What we offer
A real seat at the table shaping a product and a company, remote-friendly working with the team on the Essex / London border, and the chance to build something ambitious alongside a small, senior team.
Technical Support Engineer

About the role
You will be the person our customers talk to when they need help. That means troubleshooting technical issues, walking new customers through the platform, running demos, and handling the day-to-day account administration that keeps everyone moving. It is a varied, people-facing role right at the heart of the product.
What you will do
- Handle inbound support across email and chat — diagnose, resolve and follow up.
- Troubleshoot issues across Windows, networking, and our agent and portal.
- Run product demos and onboarding sessions for new and prospective customers.
- Manage account administration — licences, trials and configuration.
- Feed real customer insight back to Product and Engineering so we fix root causes, not just symptoms.
- Help build out our help docs and knowledge base.
What we are looking for
- Strong technical troubleshooting instincts and a genuine desire to help people.
- A confident communicator who can explain a technical thing simply.
- Comfortable with Windows, basic networking, and cloud / SaaS products.
- Organised and calm under a busy inbox.
- Based within commuting distance of Shenfield, Essex — this role is on-site.
Nice to have
- Exposure to cyber security concepts — vulnerabilities, patching, endpoint security.
- Previous helpdesk, support or MSP experience.
What we offer
Room to grow into deeper technical or product roles, training and mentoring from the wider team, and a front-row seat as the product scales.
